Gov Health Care Program: a bad thing

Is anybody else steadily becoming worried and more worried about what the government is doing, or what our president is doing? Well, I'm certainly getting worried. It baffles me that there are people considering letting the government start a health care program! This is crazy, and I believe it falls way way way outside the bounds of their responsibility. The government has certain functions and responsibilities that we have given them, these include providing for our safety and defending our country, promoting the general welfare, make sure we all have the blessings of liberty, and insure domestic tranquility and all that. This is why our government was created. Sure the constitution allows for the government to get some more responsibilities if it is necessary, but a government run heath care program isn't! Its a bad thing! I know that there is a problem though, health insurrance is way too expensive right now, I couldn't even afford it myself. Expensive insurrance is no reason for the government to totally revamp the system though, I think it is a reason for the government to work on lowering taxes on these insurrance companies, and the hospitals, and the items that are used in hospitals. I think that our president should be focused on making the current health care affordable! As far as I know the hospitals and various health centers here in the states are some of the best around! So lets not make new ones, lets try to make what we already have even better and more affordable! Makes sense to me at least. But what do I know eh? Really I have only been learning about all this over the last fortnight, though it would make sense to me for the government to stop wasting money doing things that they ought not to be doing and focus on the job that we gave them.
